Panagiotis Koustenis is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Political Science in the University of Crete. He holds a BCs in Mathematics and a MSc in Political Science and Sociology from University of Athens. In 2013 he completed his PhD in the Department of Political Science and Public Administration in University of Athens. His PhD thesis was an overview and comparative analysis of Electoral Systems and Electoral Laws in Greece, mainly focused on 1926-2012 historical period. His main research interests lie in the fields of Electoral Sociology, Electoral Systems, Electoral History, Modern Greek Politics and Comparative Politics. He has served as a member of the Exit Polls scientific research team for Mega Channel (2007-2015) and electoral analyst in the presentation of the results in the 2023 double elections on ERT TV-channel. He writes articles in newspapers and mass media. He has taught at the Postgraduate Program “Political Science and History” of Panteion University (2014-2018), at the Department of Political Science and International Relations of the University of the Peloponnese (2019-2020) and at the Public Administration Program of the Hellenic Open University (since 2021), while he has worked in the private sector as a statistical analyst and researcher.
